our new life with little junior has been just marching along!

this serious little guy gets cooler and cooler every day. he's starting to be more alert and is noticing the things around him more and more--he loves looking out the window and will stare intently at the big painting on our wall or the lights above his head when he's awake.

i got peed on today. that's some sort of rite of passage when you're mom to a boy, isn't it?

he has a diaper rash (his red little bum is so sad) and i was trying to let it get some air today. i had a wash cloth over his man parts, but i still got nailed. go figure. he seemed happy to get a bit of air on his behind, though, so i wasn't too upset about it.

we finally got his spitting up under control! the binkie turned out to be the answer to our problems. we're so relieved to (mostly) be spit up free around here...except for yesterday when he had the most massive spit up ever in the history of spit ups. i swear i heard a huge splat when it hit me/the ground.

we got to have david's mom here last week! she had to go back to georgia yesterday and we're all really sad about it. we had a lot of fun with e-mommy, though. on thursday we drove up to island park, had some delicious dinner in a saloon, and then stopped by gorgeous upper mesa falls on our way home.

we feel so lucky to have had such a fun week together!
we really, really hate living so far away from the people we love. hey, family, if we buy 50 acres of land in northern arizona, will you all come build houses on it and live within walking distance of us? sound good? can't wait.
