yep, i am getting large! i'm almost 30 weeks along and my stomach is bigger than my head (at least, it looks that way in this picture). i think, actually, that my too-small, striped shirt accentuated my stomach here. optical illusion. at least that's what i'm telling myself...
so the dude is coming soon! every day we get more and more excited for his arrival. we've been going to a birthing class in idaho falls every tuesday night (poor david, he has to miss church basketball to come learn about dilating cervixes [cervi?] and watch clips from the business of being born). the class is focused on intervention-free, natural childbirth. i've missed being a student and this has given me something new and important to study up on! i'm so excited to put everything we're learning into practice. i've really loved educating myself about this important process and coming to better understand what my body is capable of (so much!).
february is a big month for us, travel-wise. it's the last month we'll be going anywhere outside of rexburg for a while. we're going to jackson hole for a night for valentine's day (our hotel has an indoor pool! and we're getting bubba's bbq for dinner! we're really excited), i'm flying to california the following weekend for time with my family and a baby shower, and david's flying to atlanta the weekend after that for time with his family and a business trip. it's scary to think about how fast this month will most likely fly by.
other than that, our day-to-day is mostly the same. we're working on selling the store, both working full-time, and enjoying our quiet evenings together. we've been slowly getting our one-bedroom apartment ready to accommodate a baby and it's coming along really well. it'll be a very cozy place for our new family of three for the first few months.
